Schmidt works across a broad palette in Carnuntum, producing everything from Grüner Veltliner and Welschriesling to Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch, alongside Gemischter Satz, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Sankt Laurent, Rosé, Müller Thurgau, and Goldmuskateller. The Ab-Hof-Verkauf opens Tuesday to Saturday for direct sales. A tasting room welcomes visitors, where food and homemade liqueurs and juices from Styria are available alongside the wine. The Zweigelt Reserve DAC 2022 shows dark ruby garnet with violet reflections, fine cherry fruit and delicate wood spice on the nose, dark berries on the palate, and well-integrated tannins at 13.5% alcohol. Each June, Camerata Carnuntum hosts the classical music concert Klassik im Stadl.
