A 390-acre ranch in Washington County, the Birthplace of Texas, halfway between Houston and Austin off Highway 290. Saddlehorn was founded in 2009, its first crush that same year capturing July's Blanc du Bois and August's Black Spanish. The winery and tasting room occupy a renovated 12,000 square foot horse barn. Estate vineyards grow Blanc du Bois and Black Spanish alongside Cabernet Franc, Cabernet, Syrah, Zinfandel, and Riesling. The cellar produces Port and Madeira-style dessert wines. A free wine club offers members 20% off wine purchases and 10% off gift shop merchandise.
