River Ranch Vineyard sits on 630 acres of working horse and cattle ranch in Sonoma County, California, thirty-five minutes from San Francisco and three miles from downtown Petaluma. Dennis and Deborah Reis operate the property. The winery occupies a large western ranch barn with timbered high ceilings and chandeliers. A tasting room farm store stocks ranch-raised grass-fed beef and wild flower honey. Lakeside picnic grounds and a tasting room deck overlook river, ancient oaks, lakes, rolling pastures, horses, cattle, and a wildlife sanctuary. The program specializes in custom events pairing Reis River Ranch wine with grass-fed, grain-finished beef. Dennis Reis also offers stockmanship courses year round.
