Powell Mountain Cellars

About

Bill Powell established Powell Mountain Cellars in the fall of 2010, after spending many years in Southern California studying viticulture, fermentation science, and winemaking practices. The program centers on Rhone and Bordeaux varietals. Red grapes ferment on skins for an average of three weeks, then age in barrel for up to three years. The tasting room sits in Tin City at 3050 Blue Rock Road, open Friday through Sunday from noon to five. Wine club members receive two shipments annually of six bottles each, plus a 15% discount on all wines and an additional 5% on case purchases.
