About Platzer
Platzer sits in Tieschen, in Vulkanland Steiermark, where a family has worked across generations. The program centers on Welschriesling, Chardonnay, Weissburgunder, and Sauvignon Blanc. Recent honors include Cuvée Königsrot 2024 as Styrian state champion wine, Welschriesling Klassik 2024 and Chardonnay Tieschen - TAU 2023 both winning at the Steirische Weintrophy, and Sauvignon Blanc Tieschen 2022 taking first place at the Falstaff Sauvignon Blanc Steiermark Trophy. Chardonnay Ried Aunberg Privat 2022 was selected as the Bauernbundball wine for 2025. The cellar also produces distillates in small quantities. A tasting room at the winery is available.
