About Hopfer

Mario and Viktoria Hopfer tend their family vineyard in Tieschen in Vulkanland Steiermark. Grapes are hand-harvested and the vineyard avoids herbicides. The Weißburgunder Ried Königsberg took first place in public voting at Kleine Zeitung Weinkost and earned the VIP-Selektion award. The 2025 Weißburgunder reached the semifinal of Landesweinkost. The Beerenauslese Sämling 2023 is award-winning. At Königsberg, a Buschenschank opened to Falstaff's recognition as New Opening of the Year 2026. Indoor seating by a tile stove and outdoor seating among the vineyards are available.
