About Pecota Vineyard and Winery, LLC
Two acres in Shingle Springs, farmed without pesticides, herbicides, or artificial fertilizers. No sulphur spraying. Cover crops of oats, vetch, field peas, and faba beans are used. Jeff Pecota, largely self-taught, released the first vintage in 2015. The program now produces 275 to 300 cases annually. Robert's Red, a blend of half Tempranillo and half Sangiovese, is a tribute to Jeff's uncle, a pioneering vintner in Calistoga. Private tastings available by arrangement.
