Pauma Vista Vineyard began in 2018 when Vicki and Pete Montgomery purchased seven acres in Valley Center and planted within a year. The vineyard sits just under 2,000 feet elevation. Vicki completed her winemaker certification from UC Davis Extension Viticulture in 2016 and has collected Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals at the San Diego County Fair, including 2018 Best in Show for the 2016 Tempranillo Blend. The program focuses on Petite Sirah, Tempranillo, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, and Albarino. The tasting room opens Friday 2-8pm, Saturday and Sunday 12-6pm, with outdoor seating.
