Ox & Oak Vineyards

About

Julie and Richard Chalifoux tend vineyards in Lebanon, Connecticut. The program began modestly, over 15 years ago, with nine plants along the driveway. Today the cellar produces Traminette, Chardonel, Seyval Blanc, Grüner Veltliner, Grenache Blanc, Mourvédre, Grenache, Syrah, and Tempranillo. Estate Chardonel spends 13 months in barrel. 3 Galettes marries Mourvédre, Grenache, and Syrah in Rhone style, earning double gold and gold medals. East-Meets-West pairs Estate Grüner Veltliner with Grenache Blanc. The portfolio has collected double-gold, gold, and silver medals in amateur competitions. A tasting room is available.
