About
Munselle Vineyards, founded in 2006, draws from a family heritage of grape growing and winemaking in the Alexander Valley stretching back to 1876. The program produces up to 1,000 cases annually from a collection of estate properties. Inaugural releases were Wasson Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon and Coin Flip Ranch Chardonnay, a 100-acre property purchased in 1976. The portfolio now includes River Ranch Sauvignon Blanc from Kristen's Block on the banks of the Russian River, Osborn Ranch Primitivo from the original homesteading land of Great-Great Grandfather Broder Frellson, and River Ranch Petit Verdot, the boldest wine in the lineup. Rosè of Zinfandel is the newest addition. Milestone Red, a limited-edition blend of Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from Wasson Home Ranch, was created in honor of the family's 150th anniversary.
