About
Miguel Torres arrived in Curicó in 1979 as a Chilean extension of the Spanish house, and has since grown to manage more than 400 hectares across the country, from Elqui to Osorno. Every vineyard is certified organic, from the Pinot Noir planted on llicorella soils in a 364-hectare Maule estate to the Sauvignon Blanc Reserva and Carmenère produced under the same standard. The portfolio spans Carignan in Maule and Cauquenes, Manso de Velasco Old Vines Cabernet Sauvignon from the Curicó Valley, and Río Claro Carmenère, which is also vegan. Eduardo Jordán, who spent 16 years at De Martino as second winemaker under Marcelo Retamal, now leads the cellar. The house is a member of International Wineries for Climate Action and reinvests 95% of annual profits back into the vineyard.
