About
Menitz began in 1981 as a family operation in Leithaprodersdorf, in Austria's Leithaberg region. The program spans two vineyard sites. Vorderberg rises as an east-facing steep slope with sandy loam and high lime content. Reinischviertel faces south-east, its medium-heavy loamy clay soil holding water well. The cellar ages Chardonnay, Blaufränkisch, and Welschriesling in small wooden barrels. Red wines ferment whole-grape in maceration tanks. Beyond wine, the house produces fruit brandies. A tasting room with sixty seats anchors the work.
