About Matson Vineyards
Oscar and Stella Matson founded this Redding operation in 1981. The program centers on a production vineyard in the Inwood Valley AVA near Shingletown, where old-vine Zinfandel stock from Dry Creek is planted. Hand-pruning, hand-picking, and hand-crushing are part of the work across a portfolio of 26 wines. The tasting room opens Friday through Sunday, with an Airbnb on the property. The 2020 Shiraz, 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2025 Field Blend are among current releases.
