Martin Steiner is a family-operated winery in its fourth generation, with 13 hectares of vineyards located in the best sites of Podersdorf am See. Grapes are hand-harvested every year. Seventy percent of grapes are fermented into white wine, ranging across Welschriesling, Weißburgunder, Chardonnay, Rheinriesling, Traminer, Ruländer, Muskat Ottonel, Bouvier, and Müller Thurgau. One quarter of the white wines are produced as sweet wine. The remaining thirty percent becomes red wine, from Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, St. Laurent, and Syrah. Tastings are offered by advance reservation. Direct sales are available Monday through Saturday, 9 to 11.30 and 4 to 7 p.m., and Sunday and holidays 9 to 11.30 a.m. Free shipping is offered on orders of twelve bottles or more within Austria.
