About Marchese Luca Spinola
Gavi, Piemonte. Andrea Spinola works with a family connection to the land dating back to the 11th century, focusing on Cortese di Gavi, an indigenous varietal that grows only in the Gavi zone. The zone itself dates to 1630 as a DOCG. Four labels, all 100% Cortese di Gavi, emerge from the cellar. The location has a special microclimate between the Mediterranean Sea and the Alps. Marchese Luca Spinola produced the first kosher Gavi in the world. The 2023 harvest began September 10 and lasted about ten days.
