Marais Family Wines is a historic estate in the Slanghoek Valley, Cape Winelands, with roots tracing back to 1847 when the Marais family settled on Breëland farm. The family transitioned from livestock and fruit production to viticulture in the late 19th century, establishing their primary winemaking operations after World War II. Today, the estate is run by Owner and CEO Lizelle Marais with winemaker Wickus Erasmus, featuring a refurbished tasting room and state-of-the-art cellar, and serves as a destination for special events and private functions.
