About Mangels Vineyards, LLC
Gina Richmond is the winemaker at Mangels Vineyards in Suisun City, the fourth generation of her family to work this valley. Her great-grandfather, Sebastian Oberti, arrived from Italy in the 1890s and started a winemaking tradition that spans more than a century. Richmond studied enology at CSU Fresno, then interned at Spring Mountain in St Helena and Trinity Hill in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. She ran the custom crush program at Hall Winery in St Helena and served as assistant winemaker for X Winery in Napa before returning to Suisun Valley. Mangels Vineyards makes wine in small, hand-crafted batches.
