About Maanschijn
Maanschijn is an artisanal wine producer in Walker Bay, South Africa, founded by two winemakers, Douglas Mylrea and Paul Hoogwerf. They craft low intervention, naturally fermented wines from cool climate vineyards in a heritage building below Maanschynkop mountain. The Wine Garden offers picnic experiences with local artisanal food and wine available for purchase.
Tasting Experiences
Picnics at The Wine Garden
Enjoy a picnic in dappled sunlight underneath shade of trees or umbrellas on picnic blankets or benches. The Picnic Platter catering for three to four includes local and artisanal cheeses, biltong, olives, bread and condiments. Open Saturdays and Public Holidays 11:00-15:00.
