Lazy Bear Winery

About

Lazy Bear Winery sits in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Pickens County, South Carolina. The program centers on fruit and berry wines made from locally sourced ingredients. Blueberries, strawberries, grapes, peaches, raspberries, and blackberries grow on the property. The house also partners with local growers in the Greenville area. The Traditional Mead is semi-sweet at 12% alcohol by volume and uses locally sourced wildflower honey. The Blueberry Mead draws from the winery's own beehives and handpicked blueberries. All wines in the portfolio are semi-sweet at 12% alcohol by volume. Bottles are $20, except Passion Fruit at $30. Open Thursday through Saturday, noon to six. Tasting runs $5 for five wines or $15 for the full selection. Dogs welcome.
