About Las Payas
Las Payas was founded in 2005 in San Rafael, Mendoza. Santiago Salgado directs the program with minimal intervention winemaking, native yeasts, and sulfites kept below 30mg/l total. The portfolio spans Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Bonarda, Ancellota, Corvina, and Nero d'Avola. In 2018, Las Payas became the first artisanal winery in Argentina to export, reaching Brazil, Denmark, Sweden, Miami, New York, Spain, Germany, Netherlands, and Central America. During the pandemic, the house planted El Colectivo, a half-hectare agroecological vineyard. A tasting room is available.
