Knaus was founded in 2000 by Otto Knaus and Dani Knaus in Gamlitz, in Südsteiermark. Certified organic from the start, the winery has operated without plastic in the vineyard for fifteen years. It became the first and only certified organic Buschenschank in Styria in 2005. The family's connection to the land stretches back over four hundred and thirty years. Open Saturdays and Sundays from noon, the winery is equipped with two electric vehicle charging stations.
