About Kies Family
The Kies family has been cultivating grapes in the Barossa Valley for six generations, with Tina and Michael Kies establishing the cellar door in 1985 in a renovated chaff mill cottage. Their children have since joined the family business: Bronson, the eldest, became the first official winemaker in 2020; Jesseca manages marketing and export partnerships; and Jordan takes after his Father with a successful career in Property.
Tasting Experiences
Grape Pick & Stomp
A hands-on harvest experience where visitors step into the vineyard, pick grapes by hand, follow them through early winemaking stages, learn about sugar and acid in wine, and taste juice at the moment wine begins, finishing with a private wine tasting and matched cheese plate.
Winemaker Experience
A winemaker-led experience during harvest including guided vineyard walk, grape assessment, hand-picking and processing fruit, and private wine tasting.
