Joseph Preli Farm Winery, LLC

About

Joseph Preli arrived in South Glastonbury from Northern Italy in 1920 with his wife Rose, planting the vineyard that still stands today. What began as wine for family and friends from Concord grapes has become a multigenerational practice. His six daughters stewarded the farm through the decades. Now John Preli, Joseph's grandson, farms with restored antique tractors and tends a half dozen bee hives alongside the vines. John and Jeanne craft small-batch wines and ciders by hand, using old-world methods and no added chemicals or sulfites. The portfolio spans Concord and Niagara grapes, Zinfandel, and fruit wines from berries, stone fruits, and apples grown on the property. The tasting room welcomes dogs, offers food and outdoor seating, and a picnic area overlooks the work.
