Joseph Family Vineyards

About

Joseph Family Vineyards operates in Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, as a small family-owned producer with three generations of winemaking behind it. Scott Peterson and David Ramey are the winemakers. The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested in early October, intentionally cropped to about two tons per acre, made with extended maceration of up to four weeks, and aged 21 months in 65% new French oak. Jon Joseph, president and former Wall Street executive, leads alongside Bill Esselstein, general manager. The winery holds membership in the Sonoma County Grape Growers association, Family Winemakers of California, and Alexander Valley Winegrowers association.
