About Il Marroneto
Il Marroneto began in 1975 on the north slope of Montalcino hill, planting the first 3000 meters of vineyard that year. Two more plantings followed, in 1979 and 1984, until the estate held 15000 meters across soil rich with marine sediments and minerals. Alessandro Mori leads the program, drawing Sangiovese Grosso from these slopes to make Brunello di Montalcino and its Riserva, alongside the Rosso di Montalcino selections Ignaccio and Selezione Iacopo.
