Gruber was founded in 1894 in Schiltern, in Austria's Kamptal region, and has remained a family operation across four generations. Erwin Gruber stewards nine hectares of vineyard, harvesting entirely by hand. The program centers on regional varietals characteristic of Schiltern and Kamptal. Visits to the tasting room require advance reservation.
