About
John Heringa arrived from Holland in 1868 to farm in Clarksburg. Seven generations later, the Heringer family still works that ground. The first vineyard went in during the 1970s. Mike Heringer established Heringer Estates in 2003, and Stacy Heringer-McElfish launched the Wine Club that same year. The vineyards sit between Sacramento, Napa, and Lodi, certified sustainable through Protected Harvest via Lodi Rules. Every wine is estate grown and 100% certified sustainable, part of a portfolio spanning more than 24 varietal wines and blends, with Mike Heringer's broader work reaching over 30. The tasting room occupies a Heritage Barn, 130 years old. After more than 15 years supplying fruit to Sonoma Portworks, Heringer Estates acquired the operation.
