About

Family Heger has cultivated white and red grapes in Poysdorf since the 18th century. The program centers on Grüner Veltliner and Riesling from Bockfeld, Zweigelt and Neuburger across Holzbreite, Weide, Dahof, and Satz, Welschriesling from Leimacker, and Chardonnay from Pilleräcker, Zapfersberg, Hofacker, and Runsen. Harvest begins early in the morning to deliver grapes at low temperatures. Pressing is gentle and immediate. Fermentation happens in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, where the wines remain until bottling. Tastings, vineyard and cellar tours, and optional small snacks are available.
