Waltraud and Günter Haider work four hectares in Illmitz, on the Neusiedlersee. The program spans white wines from Qualitätswein to Trockenbeerenauslese, built from Welschriesling, Chardonnay, Traminer, Muskat Ottonel, and reds in Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Chardonnay and Traminer receive twelve months in French oak, emerging full-bodied at fourteen percent alcohol. Tasting and purchase available daily by telephone reservation.
