Greengate Wines sits on 140 acres in Edna Valley Wine Country, land with roots stretching back to the 1800s as a dairy farm. A local businessman purchased the property in July 2012 and planted vineyards in April 2013. The program grows 88 acres of premium wine grapes, five clones of Pinot Noir and two of Chardonnay, the foundation of the house portfolio. The property retains its working character with horse stables and a vintage wood barn. Four vacation rental homes, including the 6,000-square-foot Ranch House with 360-degree views and the Vineyard Cottage completed in August 2016, offer 13 bedrooms across the estate. A Pool and Spa Arena, repurposed in spring 2017 with heated pool, spa, bocce ball court, fire pit, and barbecue area, completes the grounds.
