James MacPhail and Kerry Forbes-MacPhail founded Grapewagon in Healdsburg. MacPhail brings over 25 years in the wine industry, with over 200 wines earning 90+ points in major publications. His work appeared on the Wine Spectator cover in December 2006 and made both the Wine Spectator Top 100 list in 2017 and Wine Enthusiast Top 100 list in 2018. The program draws from Oregon, Anderson Valley, Santa Barbara, Green Valley, Russian River Valley, and Sonoma Coast. Monica Gutierrez, Director of Custom Crush Operations, started as a harvest intern in 2022 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Viticulture and Enology from California State University-Fresno.
