Glaser

About

Roland and his daughter Anja lead Glaser, now in its second generation since Roland's father acquired 1.5 hectares in the 1960s. The estate spans approximately 9 hectares in the Neusiedlersee region, anchored by the Kaiserberg vineyard on a north-south slope between Mönchhof and Halbturn. Viticulture on this site is documented on a 1655 map. Anja trained at HBLA für Wein- und Obstbau in Klosterneuburg. The portfolio includes Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, Chardonnay, Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, and Muskat Ottonel. Starting with the 2024 harvest, the vineyard converted to organic farming. Vinum Purum is made from Chardonnay fermented in terracotta amphora, while the house Chardonnay is aged partially in steel tank and partially in wooden barrel.
