Gerald Unger

About

Gerald Unger returned to Deutsch Schützen in 1992 to take over his parents' winery, bringing training from Weinakademie Rust and a background in hotel management. The region sits on heavy, iron-rich soils layered with slate, clay, and up to three meters of loam. Over 300 days of sunshine annually support the program, which spans quality wines and spirits.
