About Gauthier Vineyard
Gauthier Vineyard, woman and veteran-owned, was founded in 2010 in Barhamsville within the Virginia Peninsula AVA. Matthew Meyer joined as Winemaker and Chief Operating Officer in 2024, bringing experience from A16 Bodega near Mendoza, Argentina, where he crafted the premium Malbec 'Reflective'. He won the Virginia Governor's Cup. The program sources grapes from a Shenandoah Valley vineyard site marked by limestone soil, excellent drainage, and 900-foot elevation. The portfolio spans White, Red, Fruit, and Dessert wines.
