Forgotten Barrel, LLC

John Eppler draws fruit from Napa, Sonoma, the Central Coast, and San Diego County. His background spans Robert Mondavi and Rosenblum Cellars in Napa, followed by his own label, John Robert Eppler Wines. Forgotten Barrel occupies the space of the former Ferrara Winery in Escondido. The tasting room opens Friday through Sunday, where charcuterie is available to purchase. Dogs are welcome on the grounds but must remain leashed and cannot enter the tasting room or other buildings. Group visits of eight to twenty-five require advance reservation. Larger gatherings of twenty-five to one hundred need coordination through the events department.
