About

Ed Flaherty arrived in Chile in 1993 from California, working as an executive winemaker at Cono Sur, Errázuriz, and Tarapacá before founding Flaherty Wines in 2004. The house began with 1,200 bottles of a single red blend. Now it produces around 75,000 bottles annually, three red blends sourced from Aconcagua and Cauquenes, and premium vineyard-designated wines distributed across Chile, Costa Rica, Germany, Korea, and the United States. The winery occupies a post-colonial adobe building over one hundred years old in San Felipe. Visits are by appointment, where Chef Jen prepares food in the remodeled kitchen.
