About the winery

Thanasis Papaioannou was a pioneer in Greek winemaking, championing the idea that wine should express its variety, vineyard position, and the grower's methods in balance with nature. His son Giorgos, a chemist-oenologist, now tends their sprawling organic vineyards across different Nemea microclimates, experimenting with diverse grape varieties to capture those terroir nuances in every bottle.
