About El Lugar Wines
Coby Parker-Garcia has been winemaking since 2002, bringing experience to El Lugar's program in San Luis Obispo. The portfolio centers on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Syrah, with vineyard-designate bottlings from Bien Nacido, Rincon, Spanish Springs, and SLO Coast. The 2019 Bien Nacido Pinot Noir earned 96 points and Cellar Selection from Wine Enthusiast. The 2021 Rincon received 95 points from the same publication. Spanish Springs Chardonnay and the 2023 SLO Coast Pinot Noir, ranked #34 in Jeb Dunuck's TOP 50 Wines of 2025, anchor recent releases. The tasting room at 3197 Duncan Road opens Thursday through Sunday, noon to five, with extended hours Friday and Saturday until seven. Wine club members receive 15% off shipments arriving in April and October.
