About
Named for the Dunites, a 1930s community of metropolitan refugees who settled in San Luis Obispo County's beach dunes, this husband-wife operation draws from three distinct vineyard sources. Hi Kite, their 2.5-acre estate in Edna Valley, is farmed organically and planted to Syrah and Grenache. Spanish Springs Vineyard, an east-facing block near Pismo Beach, supplies Alban clone Syrah. Bassi Vineyard, 1.5 miles from the ocean at See Canyon's entrance, provides Pinot Noir. The program favors whole cluster inclusion, minimal sulfur, foot treading, aging on healthy lees, neutral oak, and bottling without fining or filtration. Find them at their downtown Garden Street tasting room or at EDNA, a shared collaborative space with three other local brands. A wine club offers three releases per year.
