Straß im Straßertale, Kamptal. Birgit Eichinger founded the winery in 1992 with 3.5 hectares of vineyard. That same year, a group of leading winemakers from the Danube region joined together to highlight the importance of vineyard sites for quality and identity. The estate has grown to 16 hectares around Strass, with named sites including Gaisberg, Heiligenstein, Lamm and Grub. Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Roter Veltliner and Chardonnay make up the portfolio. Birgit remains winemaker and cellar master, and her daughter Gloria now works alongside her. The wines carry the Nachhaltig Austria sustainability certification.
