About Eblin-Fuchs
Zellenberg, Alsace. The Eblin and Fuchs families merged in 1956 when Marie Madeleine Fuchs married Henri Joseph Eblin, uniting lineages that trace back centuries. The Fuchs family had worked vines in Zellenberg since 1615. The Eblin name appears in records from 1294. Today Christian Eblin stewards 11.5 hectares across five communes, Zellenberg, Hunawihr, Ribeauville, Beblenheim, and Mittelwihr. Since the 2000s the vineyard has been managed biodynamically. The program focuses on Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Muscat, Sylvaner, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Noir. In 2006 new parcels with marl-limestone soil were added, including Rosacker and Muelforst in Hunawihr and Mandelberg in Mittelwihr. Manual harvesting, whole-bunch pressing, and fermentation with indigenous yeasts in oak barrels define the cellar work.
