About Domaine de la Janasse
Courthézon, Provence. Aimé Sabon returned from military service in 1967 and established what would become Domaine de la Janasse, named for the family farm at La Janasse. The Sabon family has led the program since its founding in 1973 across more than 90 hectares. Rolled pebbles, clay-limestone, and sandy soils define the vineyard. Organic viticulture without pesticides or herbicides underpins the work. In the cellar, partial destemming, gentle manual punching down, and long macerations shape Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Clairette, and Bourboulenc.
