Der Manfred & die Seinen

About

Manfred established Der Manfred & die Seinen in 2019 in Oberösterreich, building the program around two vineyard sites. Haselgraben, at 500 meters elevation, holds over 3,600 vines across terrain that has been worked for more than 20 years. A second vineyard at Schatzweg came into the fold in 2021. The cellar produces Gemischter Satz, Grüner Veltliner, Weißer Burgunder, and Rosé, the latter a favorite of wein.plus editorial at the 2023 Region Bergland tasting. Wines are bottled in 0.5 liter clay bottles and 0.75 liter glass bottles. The venue accommodates 70 indoors and 50 on a covered terrace, with two vacation apartments, two apartments, and four double rooms available.
