About
Founded in 1998 on the lower slopes of Côte Pavie, Clos Badon Thunevin occupies 5.8 hectares of sandy gravel in Saint-Émilion. Jean-Luc Thunevin and Murielle Andraud lead the program here, where vines average 20 years old and every harvest is done by hand. The blend runs fifty-fifty Merlot and Cabernet Franc, aged 18 to 22 months in new French oak. In 2022, the house earned promotion to Grand Cru Classé. The winery sits in the medieval village on rue Vergnaud, producing around 15,000 bottles annually.
