About Château Malfard

Between Pomerol and Fronsac in the Nord-Libournais region, Château Malfard sits on land once held by the family of Duke Decazes. The house has worked organic since 2010, certified AB by Ecocert, and focuses on Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The Grande Réserve 2019 earned two gold medals, at both Concours Expression des Vignerons BIO Nouvelle Aquitaine and Concours de Bordeaux Vins d'Aquitaine, and appears in Guide Hachette 2023. The Grande Réserve 2014 took gold at Challenge international du Vin in 2017. Visits require 48 hours advance notice. Guided tours of the chapel and cellars are by appointment. The château welcomes groups up to 50 people. Two rural gîtes classified 3 épis by Gîtes de France are available on the property. Tasting fee is 7€ per person.
