About Château Luchey-Halde
Founded in 2001 and recreated by Bordeaux Sciences Agro, Château Luchey-Halde in Mérignac operates as a living laboratory for wine and environmental stewardship. The estate holds ISO 14001 certification and HVE level 3 status since 2016. Bushes spanning more than 1200 linear meters with 15 different tree species anchor the landscape. Four hectares of woods and meadow support eco pasturing in partnership with the conservatory of Aquitaine breeds, while Landes horses graze year-round. Since 2018, the château has served as a major site for Digilab activities. The program makes top quality wines accessible to everyone, and each year students from Bordeaux Sciences Agro organize the Vin'Ecole wine fair on the property.
