About Château Filhot
Château Filhot traces its lineage to 1709, when Romain de Filhot established the estate in Sauternes. Classified as Second Cru Classé in 1855, the château commands 60 hectares of south-facing vineyards on the village hill. Comte Gabriel de Vaucelles now stewards the program. The portfolio spans Château Filhot, Sauternes Gold Reserve, Trianon de Filhot, and Sauternes Zest. Manual harvesting is practiced across the vineyards. An English-style park, designed in 1845 by landscape architect Louis-Bernard Fischer, frames the estate grounds. The house holds HVE3 certification.
