About Château d'Oupia
Twenty-two hectares of contiguous vineyard in the Minervois AOC, situated on the foothills of Montagne Noire in Hérault. The land spans 90 to 280 meters in elevation, a 170-meter spread that stretches harvest across three weeks. Limestone, marl, schist, and pebbles compose the soils. Vines are trained via gobelet and cordon de Royat methods, with manual harvest into crates. The cellar divides fruit into six separate vinification units. Carignan anchors the program, with the oldest parcel at 68 years and an average vine age of 58 years across the estate. Tastings by appointment only, outside the harvest period.
