About
Founded in 1884, Charles Jacquin Et Cie. is America's oldest cordial producer and Pennsylvania's largest. The house moved to Philadelphia in 1933, partnering with Maurice J. Cooper that same year. During Prohibition, when spirits production halted, the operation produced non-alcoholic cordials. By the 1950s, the portfolio had expanded to over 40 different cordials and liqueurs, achieving national prominence. Three generations of family ownership have guided the work, which spans multiple brands including Jacquin's, Forbidden Fruit (acquired in 1937), Dietz Dill, Pennsylvania Dutch, The Union Forge Vodka, Bartenders Trading Co, Roaster's Daughter, Juliette, Irish Manor, Savory & James, and Rock & Rye. The program produces fine, old-world cordials.
