About Capanna of Cencioni
Capanna of Cencioni began in 1960 when Giuseppe Cencioni and his sons Benito and Franco established the estate in Montosoli, north of Montalcino. Giuseppe was one of 25 founders of the Consorzio del Vino Brunello di Montalcino. Bottling commenced in the 1960s across 25 hectares of vineyard, all within a 2 km radius of the winery. Now in its third and fourth generations under Patrizio and Amedeo, the house produces Brunello di Montalcino DOCG and Riserva, alongside Rosso di Montalcino, Sant'Antimo reds and whites, Moscadello, and rosato. The program extends to extra virgin olive oil and grappa.
